Zusammenfassung

MSIG Europe SE sucht am Standort Köln/Frankfurt eine/n Underwriter Engineering (m/w/d) mit Schwerpunkt auf industrieller Versicherung und internationaler Programme. Sie bauen Beziehungen auf, analysieren Risiken, berechnen Prämien und verhandeln Vertragstexte.

Sie verfügen über ein Ingenieur- oder Wirtschaftsstudium, besitzen umfassende Branchenkenntnisse und Reisebereitschaft. Führungserfahrung sowie MS-Office-Kompetenzen runden Ihr Profil ab.

Qualifikationen

• Studium im Ingenieurwesen und/oder Wirtschaft mit technischem Interesse.
• Umfangreiche Kenntnisse in industrieller Versicherung.
• Erfahrung im Management internationaler Versicherungsprogramme.
• Reisebereitschaft und Führungsqualitäten.

Aufgaben

• Bearbeitung der versicherungstechnischen Anfragen unter Beachtung interner Richtlinien und Behörden.
• Aufbau und Ausbau von Kundenbeziehungen, Verhandlungen und Prämienberechnungen.
• Prüfung von Vertragstexten und Verhandlungen.
• Annahme von Anträgen, Erstellung der Dokumentation und Koordination von Unterlagen.
• Unterstützung von Account Managern im Kontakt mit potenziellen Kunden.
• Präsentation von Underwriting-Engineering auf internen/externen Veranstaltungen.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for the following position to be filled as soon as possible at our German branch in the Cologne/Frankfurt area:

Underwriter Engineering (m/f/d)

Main tasks

• Profit-oriented underwriting within the framework of departmental guidelines and authorities, in particular:
• Building new and expanding existing customer relationships.
• Risk analysis, calculation of the required premium, as well as proposal creation and negotiation.
• Review and negotiation of contract wording.
• Needs-based placement of facultative reinsurance.
• Acceptance of applications and preparation of documentation.
• Participation in annual meetings and customer visits.
• Preparation and coordination of underwriting decisions (outside the underwriting authority).
• Monitoring of existing portfolios with regard to economic requirements.
• Involvement in intra-departmental and cross-departmental acquisition planning and measures.
• Care and expansion of existing customer relationships, brokers, and company-related intermediaries.
• Creation of coverage concepts and implementation of international insurance programs as a leading insurer.
• Shaping the department's strategy by anticipating technical and economic developments in the market, as well as contributing to portfolio management measures.
• Initiating and contributing to process improvements.
• Representation of Underwriting Engineering at internal and external events.
• Organization, information, and communication within the scope of responsibilities.
• Supporting account managers in contact with potential customers.
• Special tasks, e.g., project assignments or product development

Your profile - Professional experience/ personality/ languages/software

• Studies in engineering and/or economics with a strong technical interest and understanding.
• Extensive experience and detailed knowledge in industrial insurance.
• Experience in managing international insurance programs.
• High self-motivation and resilience.
• Strong ability for entrepreneurial thinking and action, as well as decisiveness.
• Leadership skills in technical areas.
• Preferably, experience in managing projects or subprojects within the insurance sector.
• Willingness to travel.
• High cooperation and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in common MS Office applications.
• Very good German and good English skills.
