Job Description:

This position is OFF-SITE for Elizabethtown and Brandenburg Diagnostic Imaging Centers.

PRN - Variance in schedule

Responsibilities:

The Ultrasound Tech is responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions and monitoring patient health.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Allied Health education program or higher (diagnostic medical sonography, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing) with 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience; or
  • Diploma or degree from an ultrasound/vascular program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Canadian Medical Association (CMA); or
  • Bachelor's degree (any major) with 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree in sonography or vascular technology.

Registered or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by ARDMS must be obtained within six months of eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility is preferred.
  • Additional certification in specialized ultrasound modalities (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, vascular) is preferred.
  • BLS certification is preferred upon hire and required within 90 days of hire.
