Job summary

G Adventures is seeking a Travel Consultant (Global Connection Officer) to join our London hybrid team. The role focuses on connecting with travellers and agency partners, recommending and selling trips to meet needs while delivering outstanding service.

The position requires at least 1 year of frontline sales, fluent German and English, and a passion for travel. Candidates should be flexible with shifts and weekends, and comfortable using multiple computer systems to support bookings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year front‑line sales experience, motivated by revenue targets and service KPIs.
• Fluent in both German & English, both written and verbal.
• A love of sales and travel.
• Experience using a GDS system, preferable but not necessary.
• Superior selling skills & exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Problem solving/complaint resolution skills.
• Extensive geographical knowledge & travel experience.
• Flexible and energetic, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
• Ability to navigate and use a variety of computer systems confidently with speed and efficiency.
• Understanding of, and identification with, G Adventures’ Core Values.
• Enjoy being a part of a global team.

About the Role

The Travel Consultant, known internally as a Global Connection Officer (GCO), is a sales catalyst, relationship developer, service zealot, organizational wizard, traveller, trainer, problem solver, and company culture enthusiast all rolled into one! Your mission as a GCO if you choose it, is to connect with our travellers and agency partners; recommending and selling them the right trips based on their unique needs. Note, this role will be based in our London office on a hybrid basis. It is an integral part of our community and we are looking for candidates who are excited to get involved in fostering an exceptional in‑office culture! As a GCO, you will work on a rotation where occasional weekend work is required.

• Connect with our prospective travellers both over the phone and via email
• Ask the right questions to ascertain the needs of each unique traveller
• Recommend and sell the right trip for the traveller based on their needs including any extra services that may enhance their experience.
• Ensure the use of correct booking processes and procedures to minimise risk and reduce error rates
• Act at all times with the purpose of providing a life changing experience
