We want to grow our team for a project for our client, a renowned company in the IT sector – starting immediately.

These will be your main activities

• Analyse geographic and linguistic source data from Bosnia and Herzegovina ensuring accuracy and relevance
• Review and provide feedback on geographic data and correct navigation data in Bosnia and Herzegovina
• Recommend and implement cartographic improvements based on the local markets enhancing user experience
• Improve large datasets together with an international team
• Research "Points of interest" in local areas
• Label training data for machine learning of an address parser
• Review and correct pronunciation of street and place names, and provide suggestions for improvement
• Act as a local expert to provide guidance and advice to various teams on locally specific characteristics related to geography, road laws, or languages

The skills that are needed

• In-depth local and cultural knowledge about Bosnia and Herzegovina and residence in the country for a minimum of 10 years
• A university degree in Translation, Journalism, Linguistics, Tourism, Geography, Cartography, or similar
• Excellent written and communication skills in Bosnian language (Grammar, Orthography, Dialects)
• Proficiency in Croatian and/or Serbian language will be advantageous
• Professional proficiency in English
• High attention to detail, strong knowledge of database search and data analysis
  Research, analytical, and organizational skills
• Confident user of word processing and spreadsheet software such as MS Word and MS Excel
• Experience with macOS will be considered an advantage
