Job summary

WSS Associates Ltd in Berlin seeks an Analyst or Senior Analyst to support acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures across Germany and selected European markets. You will gain exposure to the complete transaction process across office, hotel, residential, logistics and development opportunities.

You should bring at least one year of substantive real estate experience and strong Excel/financial modelling skills. Fluency in English and German (B2) and regular Berlin office presence are expected.

Qualifications

• At least one year of substantive real estate experience after university.
• Strong Excel and credible financial modelling, valuation or underwriting exposure.
• Experience in transactions, investment management, valuation, capital markets, advisory, development or analytically focused asset management.
• Ability to interpret rent rolls, cash flows and key investment assumptions.
• Fluent English and German at approximately B2 level or above.
• Willingness to work regularly from Berlin office.

An established listed European real estate owner-investor is expanding its Berlin transactions team and looking for an Analyst or Senior Analyst to support acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures across Germany and selected European markets.

This is not a narrowly defined modelling position. You will gain exposure to the complete transaction process, working across office, hotel, residential, logistics and development opportunities.

The role

You will:

• Screen and evaluate new investment opportunities
• Build and adapt financial models and property cash flows
• Undertake DCF, valuation, sensitivity and scenario analysis
• Analyse markets, locations, business plans and investment risks
• Coordinate commercial, financial, legal and technical due diligence
• Prepare investment papers and materials for senior decision-makers
• Support negotiations, execution and transaction closing
• Work across acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures

What we are looking for

You should bring:

• At least one year of substantive real estate experience following university
• Strong Excel and credible financial modelling, valuation or underwriting exposure
• Experience gained in transactions, investment management, valuation, capital markets, advisory, development or analytically focused asset management
• The ability to interpret rent rolls, cash flows and key investment assumptions
• Fluent English and German at approximately B2 level or above
• A willingness to work regularly from the company’s Berlin office

You do not need to come from another major owner-investor. Candidates from Big Four real estate teams, valuation consultancies, brokerages and smaller investment platforms will also be considered where the analytical foundations are strong.
