DESCRIPTION
At Amazon, we are always exploring new opportunities to shape our global business. As a Training Lead, you will be an essential part of delivering and facilitating our Day 1 culture for the Transportation Associate Program (TAP) drivers which is expanding into Germany.
The Transportation Associate Program (TAP)/In house Shunting (IHS) Learning Team is looking for a Training Lead with a proven track record of delivering results and experience in learning and development to support the journey of our TAP drivers. In this role you will support drivers going through the training program by delivering Day 1 training and coordinating their learning journey as they progress to be Line Haul eligible drivers obtaining their relevant licenses and BGQ qualification.
Key job responsibilities
- Deliver Day 1 Training including both practical and classroom training
- Liaise with 3rd Party Driving Instructors on site
- Manage test bookings and scheduling for drivers undergoing TAP training
- Communicate to internal stakeholders including Operations, Safety, HR and Learning
- Internally audit training
- Update and maintain accurate training records
A day in the life
As a Training Lead you will work with a range of stakeholders to manage our drivers learning journey. This ranges from booking tests and updating training records to delivering Day 1 training and facilitating an excellent Day One experience. You will work as part of the wider learning organisation working closely with colleagues in the UK as well as in Germany.
About the team
The Transportation Associate Program and In House Shunting Learning Team support over 1000 drivers in 4 countries across Europe. We provide training from Day 1 and throughout a drivers career to ensure they can operate safely, legally and to the highest possible standard.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience of using clear communication, including evidence of delivering training groups and creating corresponding communications and training materials
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
- Advanced proficiency in German and English (C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An additional language
- Experience establishing positive working relationships with in person and remote stakeholders
- Ability to manage large groups of trainees remotely and in person
- Experience in driver training or working as a professional driver
- Attention to detail and experience managing legally compliant records
