What we offer

We are seeking a Trainee in Sales Business Support to join our growing team. As a Trainee, you will be fully integrated into the EMEA Channel team and will support our international customer service team, global customers, and multiple departments within ST.

During the 2-year trainee program, you will learn, grow, and take ownership of supporting challenging and business-focused tasks. Our program provides hands-on experience across multiple departments and domains within our site in Germany and abroad. You will have the opportunity to shape your career path, working with various customers and teams within our Sales & Marketing divisions and international sites.

Your first assignment will be with the EMEA Channel team, where you will influence ST's reputation as a technology leader by collaborating with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, expertise, cultures, and countries.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and executing ST inside sales and quote activities for assigned product families in the EMEA region, in collaboration with Product Divisions, Marketing, and Sales to meet targets.
  • Implementing ST pricing strategies to optimize margins and competitiveness.
  • Expanding knowledge of product families, market trends, competition, pricing guidelines, and resale analysis.
  • Interacting with distributors to communicate rules and guidelines related to quote processes.
  • Preparing and presenting distributor quote performance reports.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and Division teams to align on pricing and market trends.
  • Presenting quote escalation performance and price matrix effectiveness regularly.

Profile

Requirements include:

  • Experience in wholesale trading or retail sales.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; knowledge of SAP, SFDC, and Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in German and English; French and/or Italian are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%) and a valid Class B Driver’s License.
  • Independent, reliable, and collaborative working style.
  • Passion for high-tech topics.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under stress.
  • Ability to work effectively in international and intercultural environments.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop personally.
