Purpose of the RoleThis entry-level role is ideal for individuals with an electrical qualification who are eager to build a career in building automation and smart systems. You will support the engineering team in delivering BMS, SCADA, PLC, and Power Monitoring solutions across a range of exciting projects in Europe.
Duties and responsibilities in this position are:- Assist engineers with the implementation, testing, and commissioning of BMS and control systems.
- Support the team in creating technical documentation and reports.
- Learn how to interface with third-party systems and integrate controls.
- Participate in on-site activities including pre-commissioning, commissioning, and system handovers.
- Support the delivery of maintenance and remote support services.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of work done and learning progress.
- Follow company and project Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Results required for this position:
- Successfully support the implementation, testing, and commissioning of control systems in line with project requirements.
- Demonstrate clear learning progress in technical and project-related skills through active participation, feedback, and internal training.
- Work reliably and effectively with senior engineers and project managers to help deliver projects on time.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all tasks and submit reports, timesheets, and expense claims in a timely manner.
- Contribute positively to the team through communication, initiative, and a customer-focused approach.
- Follow all health and safety standards and site protocols.
- Show continuous improvement in understanding of BMS, SCADA, PLC, and energy management systems.

Knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position:- A technical/electrical qualification (NVQ, BTEC, or similar) - recent graduates or early-career professionals welcome.
- Basic knowledge or keen interest in electrical systems, automation, or control systems.
- Willingness to learn on the job and work closely with experienced engineers.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to travel within Europe when required.
