What we offer:

We are seeking a Trainee in Automotive Sales to join our growing team. As a Trainee, you will be fully integrated into the Sales team and responsible for supporting sales activities at an automotive worldwide acting Tier 1 customer.

During the 2-year trainee program, you will learn, grow, and take ownership of challenging and business-focused tasks. Our ST trainee program provides hands-on experience across multiple departments and domains within our site in Germany and abroad. You will have the chance to shape your path and work with multiple customers or across other teams within our Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain Departments.

Your first assignment will start with the Sales team, where you will influence ST's reputation as a technology leader by working with diverse stakeholders from different backgrounds, cultures, and countries.

Main deliverables and experiences gained include:

  • Supporting sales activity at an automotive Tier 1 customer to maximize ST's sales revenues and market share.
  • Under mentorship, gradually taking responsibility for activities such as handling Product Change Notifications, PPAP processes, supporting price offers, design-in activities, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Eventually taking over responsibility for one customer location as a sales representative after successful training.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in industrial engineering and management or a similar field.
  • Results-driven with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Independent, reliable, and collaborative.
  • Passion for high-tech topics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English; knowledge of French and/or Italian is advantageous.
  • Highly flexible, able to work under stress.
  • Effective in international and intercultural teams.
  • Willing to travel and possess a valid driver’s license.
