The Scope

We are looking for a Trademark Manager who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC's mission to work with us in a multinational environment.

The Trademark Manager will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to enhance FSC's trademark policies, manage client relationships, and drive initiatives to facilitate the uptake and correct use of FSC trademarks.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement trademark use requirements and services for different user groups, including FSC certificate holders and promotional license holders.
  2. Engage with companies to drive visibility and correct use of the trademarks in line with organizational goals.
  3. Manage projects to ensure the correct use of public claims made with FSC trademarks, including initiatives related to compliance with regulations against greenwashing.
  4. Provide bespoke trademark-related services for global companies FSC International engages with, in collaboration with FSC account managers.
  5. Oversee and respond to trademark-related inquiries from different user groups.
  6. Develop and maintain normative documents, guidance materials, and training courses on FSC trademark use.
  7. Support communication and knowledge sharing of trademark-related information across the FSC team globally.
  8. Oversee the processing of misuse cases of trademark users.

Your Profile

  • University degree or equivalent training/experience in a relevant field such as business administration, economics, international relations, marketing, communications, forest product markets, or law.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in claims management, certification schemes, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or related fields.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Solution- and service-oriented attitude.
  • Attention to diligence and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and organize work.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience with standard software packages (MS Office).
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations across diverse groups.

The Fine Print

  • Duration: 12-14 months (temporary parental leave cover)
  • Location: Bonn, Germany
  • Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

  • Travel: Occasional travel required
