We are currently recruiting for a Trade Finance & Working Capital Sales Consultant for our Global Corporate Banking Division in Frankfurt .

Function Positioning
MUFG has a developing and thriving Transaction Banking business, headquartered in Tokyo, and spanning all continents. Transaction Banking Office for EMEA (incorporating Europe, Middle East and Africa) forms part of MUFG’s Global Transaction Banking Division.
TB EMEA’s key responsibilities are to drive regional business and support global and regional customers with Transaction Banking solutions in Cash and Liquidity Management, Trade and Working Capital, and Foreign Exchange.
Transaction Banking EMEA, consists of three Sales functions (EU, MENA and UK); two Product Management Functions (Trade and Working Capital and Cash and Liquidity Management); a Servicing Team and Implementation Team.
Overall Purpose of th e Job
Promote MUFG’s global transaction banking capabilities to European based clients and develop new business from large corpora tes that have a head or regional office in Europe. You are a subject matter expert on all trade related subjects including documentary trade, FI trade and open account/supply chain financing. You will become the TB contact point for clients and global relationship managers.
Your impact at MUFG
As a core member of the Transaction Banking team located in Amsterdam you
Are directly responsible as a Trade product partner for working with the Relationship Management teams to grow the baseline of business with a portfolio of clients and prospects (MNC & FI) in amongst others The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and several other European countries
Originate trade finance business (guarantees; L/C confirmations/discounting; bid/performance bonds, etc.)
Consistently attain personal pipeline targets and demonstrate role model pipeline management skills and behaviours
Perform trade flow and working capital scans of clients or prospects and promote MUFG’s supplier and receivable finance solutions
Develop strong, effective working relationships across all key stakeholder groups, including operations, mid office, risk, RMs, compliance, legal, product etc. – both within EMEA and across the other regions.
Work as part of the Transaction Banking team for EMEA and in conjunction with Trade team contribute to product development, investment and process improvement priorities and execute plans to deliver against the agreed objectives
Demonstrate trade finance expertise to clients and internal stakeholders around industry trends, emerging client needs and opportunities and the competitor landscape in order to promote business opportunities and MUFGs brand and leading position.
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Several years of experience in sales at a global commercial bank, dealing with global corporates and/or Japanese multinationals with a regional treasury in Europe
Wide experience with Trade Finance and applicable regulatory environment in Europe
Proven track record of developing trade business and delivering to targets across a broad range and relevant markets, products and client sets
Experience and track record of establishing successful relationships with MNC clients at senior level (Treasury, CFO etc.)
Wide experience with analysing working capital performance of large multinationals as well as with sales/implementation of supplier or receivable finance solutions
Experience in the broader range of cash management / TB sales is expected
Strong technical knowledge across all key trade products and conventions/governing rules. Relevant knowledge of transaction banking market and competitors
Basic credit skills and ability to monitor utilisation rates
Strong communicator and able to communicate at all levels – written, verbal, presentation material. Proficient in German and English (spoken and in writing)
Basic knowledge in liquidity management services for corporate and also broader TB understanding and experience
Understanding of capital treatment of different trade products and the key components which make up capital calculations
