Drive Tolling Excellence Across Clariant's Care Chemical Business Unit!

The Tolling Manager Operations EMEA is responsible for managing all EMEA tolling and traded goods activities, overseeing external manufacturing partnerships, ensuring compliance standards, and driving strategic initiatives to optimize operations and performance for our Business Unit Care Chemicals.

Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Ensure effective management of toller relationships across the EMEA region and build up new relationships.
  • Guarantee establishment of robust production processes and agreements.
  • Control compliance audit processes with external manufacturing partners.
  • Decide on appropriate coordination strategies between internal departments and external partners.

Strategic Leadership

  • Ensure successful implementation of regional projects for gross margin improvement.
  • Control cost reduction initiatives throughout the tolling network.
  • Decide on make-or-buy strategies within the established CAPEX process.
  • Guarantee alignment of tolling operations with overall business objectives.

Supply Network Development

  • Initiate comprehens ive tolling processes including supply chain setup.
  • Ensure proper contract management with external manufacturing partners.
  • Scout market opportunities for expanding contract manufacturing network.
  • Control development and implementation of technical specifications.
  • Guarantee effective cross-functional collaboration in supply network optimization.

Performance & Quality Management

  • Initiate continuous improvement initiatives focusing on yield optimization and quality standards.
  • Control cost management strategies with external manufacturing partners.
  • Guarantee thorough deviation investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to technical specifications and quality agreements.
  • Decide on quality improvement programs with tolling partners.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of profound operations and business experience in the chemical industry.
  • Proven experience working effectively in matrix organizations.
  • Strong project management experience with demonstrated results.
  • International business exposure with cross-cultural communication skills and management experience with track record of leading teams.
  • Fluent in English, German and Spanish beneficial.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking with operational execution focus and financial acumen.
  • Quality management expertise and analytical problem-solving abilities.
