As a Tire Compounding Lab Technician, you’ll play a vital role in setting up, maintaining, and operating our materials and compounding lab equipment. Your responsibilities will include keeping compound production running smoothly, checking material quality, and working with your team to produce and test bicycle tires efficiently.
We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to following safety protocols. A willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate effectively with others is essential for success in this role
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Perform mixing operations and make modifications as needed to improve processing
Performing a variety of physical, mechanical, and chemical tests on compounds and vulcanizates
Execution of compound production control and release
Perform thorough inspections of incoming rubber materials to confirm quality and compliance with specifications.
Determination of standard values for production compounds
Monitor machinery and properly adjust machine settings to maintain optimal operating conditions
Collaborate with the tire-building team to support seamless integration of compounds into the final product.
Maintain a strong focus on safety by adhering to all health and workplace regulations
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
Technical Education as CTA or PTA
Preferred) At least 1 year in compounding manufacturing
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, to reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear
Must be capable of climbing up and down a ladder / stairs several times per shift
Mobility throughout the facility
Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, or crouch
Employee must lift and / or move up to 10kg unassisted on occasion
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
