Job summary

Weltec is seeking experienced TIG and orbital welders for projects in Dresden. You will perform precision welding on UHP stainless steel systems used in semiconductor facilities, ensuring contamination control and strict cleanliness standards.

Role involves interpreting drawings, following SEMI/ASME BPE specifications, and documenting weld progress with traceability logs in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Certified TIG welding qualification with orbital welding experience.
• Experience maintaining ultra-high purity (UHP) stainless steel systems.
• Strong contamination control and cleanroom procedure knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and orbital TIG welding on UHP stainless steel tubing.
• Weld gas and chemical distribution systems in semiconductor facilities.
• Maintain oxygen controls and ppm-level purge procedures.
• Prepare materials to ultra-high purity standards and prevent contamination.
• Interpret isometrics, P&IDs and spool drawings for accurate fabrication.
• Ensure SEMI, ASME BPE, and client specifications are met.
• Carry out boroscope and visual weld inspections as needed.
• Complete weld traceability documentation (log sheets, maps).
• Work in cleanroom environments with proper gowning and behavior.
• Collaborate with QA/QC on inspections, testing and validation.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced and detail-driven TIG & Orbital Welders to join our project team in Germany. Responsible for precision TIG and orbital welding of ultra-high purity (UHP) stainless steel systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. The role requires exceptional weld cleanliness, contamination control, and compliance with strict semiconductor standards where even microscopic defects are unacceptable.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform manual and orbital TIG welding on UHP stainless steel tubing
• Execute welds for gas and chemical distribution systems in semiconductor facilities
• Maintain strict oxygen control and purge procedures (ppm-level monitoring)
• Prepare and clean materials to ultra-high purity standards (no contamination)
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and spool drawings
• Ensure compliance with SEMI standards, ASME BPE, and client specifications
• Carry out boroscope inspections and visual weld inspections where required
• Complete full weld traceability documentation (log sheets, weld maps, etc.)
• Work in cleanroom environments following strict gowning and behavioural protocols
• Collaborate with QA/QC on inspection, testing, and validation processes
• Perform system installation and tie-ins on-site where required

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Certified TIG welder and/or Orbital welding certification
• Advanced TIG welding skills with high precision and consistency
• Strong knowledge of contamination control and cleanroom practices
• Strong quality focus and ability to work to strict tolerances
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-spec environments
