An established academic institution is offering three exciting postdoctoral fellowships aimed at early-career researchers. Reference No: 2024/114. The preferred start date is April 1st, 2025. Conditionally on the submission of an external grant, the position can be extended for an additional year. In principle, the position can be divided into two half-time positions.
The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007, it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up programme, the Excellence Strategy.
The Zukunftskolleg is an Institute for Advanced Study for early career postdoctoral researchers in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. It promotes interdisciplinary discourse and provides resources for independent research in an English-speaking environment.
Each fellow is affiliated with both a university department and the Zukunftskolleg. Fellows may also be associated with the Clusters of Excellence: "Politics of Inequality" or "Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour". Up to two fellowships related to collective behaviour can be funded directly by the Centre.
The target group includes excellent early-career researchers with leadership skills and teamwork capacity, expected to take on leading academic roles. Applications are evaluated by international reviewers, with decisions communicated by mid-February 2025.
