What we offer you

• As a thesis student you will be involved in our exciting project, which aims at developing novel GenAI-based industrial applications.
• You will actively support our international research team inside & outside Siemens.
• You will be responsible for work packages related to information extraction from multi-modal information sources, LLM-based solution development, etc.
• Writing academic papers, invention disclosures, and reports will be another area of responsibility challenging both your expertise and language skills.

You’ll make an impact by

• You are currently pursuing a master’s degree in TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology.
• You have advanced programming skills to extract information from multi-modal sources e.g., PDF documents, images, etc.
• You have advanced programming skills in Python as well as know-how on Large Language Model advanced topics (e.g. RAG).
• You have already gathered experience with Large Language Model Tools such as LangChain, LLM API Calls, etc.
• You have experience in at least one of these fields: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, and Natural Language Processing.
• You have practical knowledge of Git Version Control System.
• You can demonstrate general software development skills (e.g. clean code concept).
• Ideally, you have experience with Semantic Web Technologies such as RDF, SPARQL, Protégé.
• Know-how in frontend/backend web-based application development will be considered advantageous.
• And last, but not least: you have excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
