Jobbeschreibung

The Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. Together with Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans.

As part of the E / E Systems & Hardware (RD / EBE) team, we supply technologically leading EE systems with premium series quality to Mercedes-Benz vehicles on time. Our RD / EBE department is responsible for developing electrical / electronic systems and designing systems for Mercedes-Benz HV batteries.

Challenges you will face:

  1. Conducting a literature review of current state-of-the-art technologies, including an engineering analysis of their advantages and disadvantages.
  2. Designing and developing an innovative communication concept using electromagnetic analysis, modeling, and realization of an RF communication system with an appropriate antenna design, possibly including simulations.
  3. Designing, constructing, and implementing concept prototypes.
  4. Defining tests and conducting final validation through measurements of the designed concept.

The final thesis topic will be selected in close consultation with you, the university, and our team.

Minimum requirements:

  • Field of study: Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a comparable discipline.
  • Proven knowledge in: Radio frequency, Transmission lines, Antenna theory, Optoelectronic, Microelectronic circuits. Knowledge of communication protocols is advantageous.
  • Strong academic records and a curiosity for various scientific aspects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-managed, proactive working style.
  • Ability to guide the project through the entire thesis process.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (German is advantageous).
  • Programming experience is advantageous.
