Fraunhofer IGCV is the first production engineering Fraunhofer Institute in Bavaria. Our main clients come from mechanical engineering, aerospace, and the automotive industry. For the department of Intelligent Process Management & Robotics, we are looking for master's students as soon as possible to accompany us on our journey.

What you will do

  • Concept and implementation of a ROS2-based communication broker to connect multimodal input channels (e.g., voice, touch, button)
  • Development of ROS nodes and interfaces to connect an LLM-based control core (e.g., via REST API)
  • Testing and evaluation of the system in conjunction with a robotics demonstrator (simulation or real environment)

What you bring to the table

  • Studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable degree
  • Initial experience with ROS/ROS2 preferred
  • Confident handling of python or C++
  • Reliable and independent working style
