Zusammenfassung

Volkswagen Group Services GmbH in Germany seeks an ambitious thesis intern to explore AI-based test case generation for hardware. You will help automate PCBA test execution and derive executable sequences from circuit data while aligning with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 standards.

You will contribute to the development of pulse inverters and drive electronics, gaining hands-on experience in MATLAB, LTSpice, and Power Electronics. The internship is fixed-term and offers hybrid work options.

Qualifikationen

  • Enrolled student (also in a gap year) in Electrical Engineering or Technical Computer Science or a related field.
  • Academic performance is good to very good.
  • Knowledge in power electronics / pulse inverters for electric drives is desirable.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and Microsoft Office preferred.

Aufgaben

  • Develop an AI-based method for generating hardware test cases.
  • Automate the execution of test specifications for PCBA testing.
  • Analyze and derive executable test sequences from requirements and circuit data.
  • Support series development in compliance with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262.

Possible tasks within this role
  • Developing an AI-based method for generating hardware test cases
  • Automating the execution of test specifications for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA testing)
  • Analyzing and deriving executable test sequences from requirements and circuit data
  • Supporting series development in compliance with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262
  • Assisting in the planning, execution, and documentation of hardware tests
Qualification requirements
  • Enrolled Students (also in a Gap Year) in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or similar fields
  • Good to very good academic performance
  • Knowledge in power electronics / pulse inverters for electric drives, hardware development, or similar areas is desirable
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and Microsoft Office is preferred
  • German and English language level B2
