Volkswagen Group in Kassel invites motivated students to join the Department for Development of Electric Drives, Power Electronics, and Transmissions for an internship. You will support hardware development and test activities for automotive power electronics and pulse inverters, contributing to test bench setups and documentation.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Electrical Engineering or Technical Computer Science, with knowledge of MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and good German/English at B2

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled student in Electrical Engineering or Technical Computer Science.
• Good to very good academic performance.
• Knowledge in power electronics / pulse inverters for electric drives is desirable.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and MS Office is a plus.
• German and English language level B2.
• Valid Class B driver's license is required.

Aufgaben

• Support hardware development for automotive series hardware per Automotive SPICE and safety standards.
• Assist in design, execution, and documentation of hardware unit and integration tests.
• Design and create tools to facilitate test execution (e.g., adapter boards, signal generators).
• Develop and implement automated test procedures and evaluations.

Possible tasks within this role

• Supporting the development of automotive series hardware in accordance with Automotive SPICE, internal development processes, and functional safety standards
• Assisting in the design, execution, and documentation of hardware unit and integration tests based on requirements
• Designing and creating support tools (e.g., adapter boards or signal generators) to facilitate test execution
• Developing and implementing automated test procedures and evaluations
  

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled Students (also in a Gap Year) in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or similar fields
• Good to very good academic performance
• Knowledge in power electronics / pulse inverters for electric drives, hardware development, or similar areas is desirable
• Familiarity with MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and Microsoft Office is a plus
• German and English language level B2
• Valid Class B driver’s license required
