Zusammenfassung

Volkswagen Group's Kassel site invites enrolled students to join the Development of E-Drives, Power Electronics and Transmissions team to work on AI-based methods for hardware test case generation and automated PCBA test execution.

You will support verifying hardware tests in line with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262, contribute to test planning and documentation, and build practical skills in MATLAB, LTSpice and PLECS while using German and English at B2 level.

Qualifikationen

  • Enrolled student in Electrical Engineering or Technical Computer Science
  • Strong academic performance
  • Knowledge in power electronics or pulse inverters desirable
  • German and English language level B2
  • Valid Class B driving license

Aufgaben

  • Develop AI-based method for generating hardware test cases
  • Automate execution of test specifications for PCBA testing
  • Analyze and derive executable test sequences from requirements
  • Support series development in line with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262
  • Assist in planning, execution and documentation of hardware tests

Work environment

Our department “Development of E-Drives, Power Electronics, and Transmissions” within Group Components at the Kassel site holds group-wide responsibility for the development of all future pulse inverters (PWR) for electric drives. We are shaping the future of mobility by consistently transforming our innovations into cost-effective products and continuously improving existing ones. #pushthepulse

Possible tasks within this role
  • Developing an AI-based method for generating hardware test cases
  • Automating the execution of test specifications for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA testing)
  • Analyzing and deriving executable test sequences from requirements and circuit data
  • Supporting series development in compliance with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262
  • Assisting in the planning, execution, and documentation of hardware tests
Qualification Requirements
  • Enrolled Students (also in a Gap Year) in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or similar fields
  • Good to very good academic performance
  • Knowledge in power electronics / pulse inverters for electric drives, hardware development, or similar areas is desirable
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and Microsoft Office is preferred
  • German and English language level B2
  • Valid driver’s license (Class B) required
