Volkswagen Group Services GmbH in Baunatal (Kassel area) is offering a thesis internship to develop AI-based test case generation for hardware and PCBA testing. You will analyze requirements and circuit data to derive executable sequences and support safety-compliant testing in a multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires enrolled students in EE/CS with strong academics and knowledge in power electronics, MATLAB/PLECS/LTSpice, VBA, and MS Office, plus German/English at B2 level.

Qualifikationen

Possible tasks within this role

• Developing an AI-based method for generating hardware test cases
• Automating the execution of test specifications for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA testing)
• Analyzing and deriving executable test sequences from requirements and circuit data
• Supporting series development in compliance with Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262
• Assisting in the planning, execution, and documentation of hardware tests

Qualification requirements

• Enrolled Students (also in a Gap Year) in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or similar fields
• Good to very good academic performance
• Knowledge in power electronics / pulse inverters for electric drives, hardware development, or similar areas is desirable
• Knowledge of MATLAB, PLECS, LTSpice, VBA, and Microsoft Office is preferred
• German and English language level B2
