Thermal Engineer (m/f/d) Your Tasks

• Design and development of thermal control systems
• Conceptual design, sizing, verification and validation of thermal control systems according to customer requirements and feasibility with regard to manufacturing, integration, cost, schedule, quality and risk
• Thermal analysis including the creation of thermal models, verification and assessment of analysis results
• Hardware definition based on the chosen thermal control design solutions and product ownership during implementation and verification
• Support of reviews (from system to equipment level) and presentation of work results to internal and external customers
• Technical supervision of thermal hardware sub-contractors and support of the subcontractor manager
• Support of system engineers during design, development and implementation at system and sub-system level
• Support of project management office with work planning and progress reporting

Your Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with a major in aerospace engineering or comparable qualifications
• Several years of professional experience in space thermal sub-system engineering is preferred
• Experience in the design of thermal control systems, spacecraft thermal engineering and analysis for spacecraft is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High motivation and proactive involvement with a strong passion for space and spacecraft engineering
• Strong communication and negotiation skills (preferably English and German)
• Experience in subcontractor management is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of ESATAN-TMS, or a similar thermal analysis software
• Used to work in an international environment
