MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Test and Evaluation Engineer to manage the planning and execution of test and evaluation activities in coordination with the Army Evaluation Center. The T&E Engineer will lead and participate in system-level technical and operational testing for software-intensive systems.
This is an opportunity to be involved in the newly formed PM Cyber & Space and be a part of the rapidly growing Cyber Development Product Office responsible for key capabilities within the offensive cyber operations world.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage the overall planning and execution of test and evaluation activities in coordination with the Army Evaluation Center and other external DOD test agencies.
- Lead and participate in system-level technical and operational testing for software-intensive systems and analyze T&E data.
- Assist in developing, preparing, executing, and overseeing Test Plans and Procedures to include mission scenarios and evaluation methodologies.
- Lead and participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Test Readiness Reviews.
- Assess technical documentation for test readiness and monitor T&E accomplishment.
- Assist the development of testing tools and methodologies, and coordinate with the testing organizations throughout the T&E lifecycle, inclusive of data authentication groups.
- Prepare/review test documentation including Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), specific test plans, schedules, and test reports in support of Milestone Decisions and Material Release.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with developing and applying measures of performance and effectiveness.
- Hands-on experience with EW and waveform testing.
- Familiarity with the use of databases and automated tools for evaluation, analytical, and verification support.
- Familiarity with T&E policies and procedures in support of DoD 5000 Acquisition.
- Familiar leading all aspects of a test including test planning, management of test activities, test evaluation, and reporting to various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with formal phases of testing and their associated review processes, including contractor testing, developmental testing, operational testing, operational assessment, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience preparing test documentation (e.g., test plans, test procedures, TEMPs, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on multi-functional teams.
Clearance
Experience
- Minimum of six (6) years progressively complex experience in the testing and integration of software-intensive systems, especially related to tactical C4ISR, EW and Cyber systems.
- At least 3 years of experience related to systems integration, verification, and testing.
- At least 5 years of experience in a test engineer role on a Department of Defense (DoD) program.
- At least 5 years of experience devising test strategies, writing test plans, procedures, and reports.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or computer engineering.
- 4 additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to travel 20% oconus.
- Ability to work in office/field/lab environments.

The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $155,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
