We are currently expanding our testing team for defense-related projects in Germany and are looking for a Test Engineer to support the verification and validation of advanced defense systems.

Work set up

• 100% onsite (one main location per project, or nearby supplier)
• Occasional multi‑day business travel

What you’ll be working on

• Testing of unmanned systems (drones) and related subsystems
• Vision systems, optical components, cameras
• Laser range measurement systems and other optical / sensor technologies
• Defense‑grade hardware and integrated systems

Your responsibilities

• Hands‑on testing of defense products and subsystems
• Creation of test specifications based on system requirements
• Setup, commissioning, and operation of test environments and test benches
• Execution, documentation, and evaluation of integration, system, and acceptance tests
• Environmental testing, tightness testing, EMC / EMW testing
• Troubleshooting and analysis of faulty tests or test system failures
• Contribution to the design, execution, and evaluation of automated tests (conceptual level)

Your profile

• 3+ years of experience in testing, ideally within the defense industry
• Background in optics, sensors, hardware, or defense systems is a strong advantage
• Automotive testing experience is acceptable if you are motivated to move into defense
• Solid understanding of verification, testing, quality assurance, and system development
• Experience working with test systems and hardware setups
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS, CodeBeamer, Xray is a plus
• Confident use of MS Office
• Able to work independently after onboarding
• Class B driving license required

Team & project

• You’ll join an existing team of experienced P3 engineers already on site
• Initial team collaboration, followed by increasing individual responsibility
• Projects are long‑term and currently expanding

Nice to have

• Security clearance SÜ1–SÜ3 (or eligibility)
• ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation or Advanced Level)
• Knowledge of communication protocols (not mandatory)
