Zusammenfassung

Optimus Search seeks an Integration & Test Engineer to ensure subsystems such as perception, tracking, radar/RF, and controls integrate and perform reliably under real-world conditions.

You will design test plans, validate end-to-end behaviour, isolate root causes of faults, and verify performance against operational requirements before deployment. Onsite work in Berlin and NATO citizenship are mandatory.

Qualifikationen

  • 5+ years’ experience in system integration, test engineering, or validation of complex electro-mechanical or embedded systems.
  • Proven experience designing test plans, executing validation, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of hardware–software interfaces, data protocols, and end-to-end system behaviour.
  • Proficiency with test equipment, measurement tools, and data analysis; scripting capability (Python preferred).
  • Experience testing real-time, embedded, or sensor-integrated systems in operational or field environments.
  • Systematic approach to debugging and root-cause analysis; clear technical communication.
  • Availability for onsite work in Berlin; NATO member state citizenship.
  • Experience integrating or testing radar, RF, imaging, or perception systems.
  • Familiarity with multi-sensor fusion, tracking, or autonomous control workflows.
  • Hands-on field-testing experience in outdoor or demanding environments.
  • Knowledge of environmental, EMI/EMC, or safety compliance standards.
  • Background in defence, aerospace, robotics, or industrial sensor systems.

Aufgaben

  • System Integration: Assemble and integrate hardware–software subsystems; ensure interfaces, data protocols, and timing align across perception, RF, tracking, and control modules.
  • Test Design & Execution: Develop comprehensive test strategies, procedures, and benchmarks covering functional, performance, environmental, and edge-case scenarios.
  • Validation & Verification: Verify system behaviour against requirements — including detection range, tracking stability, latency, accuracy, and sensor fusion integrity.
  • Fault Isolation & Debugging: Diagnose integration issues, performance deviations, and intermittent failures; trace root causes across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
  • Field & Operational Testing: Support outdoor trials; validate performance under real conditions — weather, interference, clutter, and dynamic aerial scenarios.
  • Performance & Compliance: Measure and report metrics; ensure latency, reliability, and environmental hardening meet operational and regulatory standards.
  • Documentation & Feedback: Maintain test records, logs, and reports; communicate findings clearly to design teams to drive improvements.
