What You'll Do

We are currently seeking a Territory Manager for Wilson Team Sports in Germany. This is a full-time, permanent contract role.

Are you a passionate sales person who knows how to develop new business opportunities and grow market share? Are you hungry to grow distribution for Wilson Team Sports in Germany?

This is an exciting new role created from strong growth of the Wilson brand in Europe, as the Official Ball of the NFL, NBA, WNBA, NCAA, ACB, FIBA 3x3 and the Basketball Champions League. What a time to join the team as we drive the business around these key global partnerships and local German partnerships in Basketball, American Football and Volleyball, to reach more consumers in the region.

You will utilize these partnerships to develop strong sales plans in the wholesale channel, focusing on Buying Groups, to grow distribution, and share of shelf in your assigned territory.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet and exceed the annual sales plan and product category objectives in your defined territory
  • Identify new wholesale distribution opportunities and effectively track and manage through CRM program
  • Effectively communicate key brand and product stories, creating strong commercial plans and solution focused sales proposals to current and perspective retail partners
  • Drive market share growth of Basketball, Volleyball and American Football by selling-in the product range, setting sell-through activities and collaborating effectively with retail partners to maximize brand share of shelf
  • Work with the Key Account Manager Germany to manage the distribution strategy and range optimization for profitable growth
  • Provide feedback as the voice of the consumer and customer internally, specifically on range, channel design, competitor and commercial strategy
  • Forecast and plan sales in your territory to deliver excellent service levels and orderbook management
What We're Looking For

We are seeking qualified candidates with a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated sales experience executing the full sales cycle – prospecting, proposing, negotiating, and closing.

Other qualifications include:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the hunger to deliver results
  • Curiosity to think differently and create new opportunities
  • Strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written German and English skills
  • Team player, able to work cross functionally and culturally with European and US colleagues
  • Experience managing budgets to deliver sales and margin targets
  • Clean German driving licence
  • Ability to travel up throughout Germany (up to 50% during the peak season) and some work on weekends and evenings during events. Time off in lieu is managed according to contracted hours.
  • Passion as a fan or player of sports, particularly Team Sports, is strongly desired
  • Planning and executing trade marketing plans preferred
  • Brand and event marketing activation experience preferred
