Territory Account Manager - Molecular Diagnostics!

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Territory Manager (m / f / d) to support and grow our client’s direct sales operations in North North Rhine-Westphalia and parts of Lower Saxony . This is a remote role with frequent travel across the designated region.

The Territory Manager will be responsible for expanding business with existing clients, acquiring new customers (mainly in hospital settings), and implementing diagnostic solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders. This role offers a high level of autonomy and influence, along with the backing of a national sales and marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow the assigned territory in collaboration with existing and potential new customers (primarily in hospitals, but also in private labs and POCT environments).
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes from consultative presentations and competitive proposals to negotiation and implementation.
  • Oversee regional key accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction and partnership.
  • Contribute to the launch and integration of new diagnostic tests and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with application specialists and the marketing team to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Implement national sales strategies regionally with a strong focus on pipeline management, forecasting, and territory planning.
  • Establish and maintain a network of regional reference customers.

What You Bring

  • A university degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Virology , or a similar life sciences field; alternatively, a clinical background (e.g., MTA) with relevant industry experience.
  • Initial sales experience in the healthcare or diagnostics sector , ideally within hospital environments.
  • Proven success in managing complex sales projects involving technical products and multiple decision-makers.
  • Strong skills in identifying customer needs and driving new business development.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English .
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region (approx. 50–75%, mostly within 2 hours' driving time).
