Zusammenfassung

Denys in Germany seeks a Tender Manager to lead end-to-end tender processes for underground pipelines, district heating and energy networks, as well as gas, water, and utility pipelines. You will qualify tenders, prepare bids, assess risks, and ensure on-time submission.

You will collaborate with the Tender Engineer, project managers, site managers and our Belgian parent company, review cost calculations, evaluate supplier quotations, and manage client communications through negotiations.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in civil engineering or comparable technical qualification.
• Solid experience in tender management, cost estimation, or bid preparation for civil/infrastructure projects.
• Leadership experience with bid teams or cross-functional groups.
• Knowledge of pipeline construction and infrastructure projects; familiarity with German VOB an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Manage the tender process from qualification to bid submission and contract award.
• Analyze tender documents, specs, and contractual docs for opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate on project cost calculations with Tender Engineer for pipelines and utilities.
• Coordinate tender documentation and ensure on-time submission across cost, tech concepts, and plans.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and integrate into bids.
• Lead or support clarifications meetings and contract negotiations with clients.
• Provide functional leadership to the Tender Engineer and coordinate with project/site managers and the Belgian parent company.

• Analyze tender documentation: you will analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and contractual documentation, and assess technical and commercial opportunities and risks.
• Take responsibility for cost calculations: together with the Tender Engineer, you will manage and review project cost calculations for underground pipeline construction, district heating and energy pipelines, as well as gas, water, and utility pipelines.
• Coordinate tender documentation: you will ensure that cost calculations, technical concepts, project execution plans, schedules, safety plans, and all other required documents are complete and submitted on time.
• Evaluate bids and quotations: together with the Tender Engineer, you will obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate them, and incorporate them into the overall bid in an economically sound manner.
• Manage client communication: you will be the main point of contact for our clients throughout the entire tender process and will lead or support clarification meetings and contract award negotiations.
• Lead the tender team: you will provide functional leadership to the Tender Engineer and work closely with project managers, site managers, and specialists from our Belgian parent company. When required, you will also support tenders and projects outside Germany. Regular project and site visits are part of the role.

Your Profile

• Qualifications: you have successfully completed a degree in civil engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• Professional experience: you have solid professional experience in tender management, cost estimation, or bid preparation for civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Leadership skills: you have experience providing functional leadership to employees or interdisciplinary bid teams.
• Industry knowledge: you have extensive knowledge of pipeline construction, utility infrastructure, cable construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of the German VOB and experience with international contract models are an advantage.
• Technical and commercial understanding: you have a strong technical understanding as well as a high level of cost, schedule, and risk awareness.
• Software skills: you are proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with M2 or comparable estimating/cost-calculation software is an advantage.
• Communication and mobility: you have fluent German skills and good English skills. You are willing to travel for project and site visits both within Germany and abroad.
