Job Summary:

As a Hotel Telephone Operator you are responsible for answering and directing incoming calls, assisting guests with inquiries, and ensuring smooth internal communication between hotel departments.

This role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and efficiency in handling guest requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
  • Direct calls to the appropriate departments or guest rooms.
  • Handle guest inquiries regarding hotel services, reservations, and local attractions.
  • Take and relay messages accurately to guests and staff.
  • Assist with wake-up call requests and ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain an up-to-date directory of hotel contacts and services.
  • Log and report any technical issues with the phone system.
  • Follow hotel policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy.
  • Support the front desk and concierge with administrative tasks when needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
