In the department, you will develop sensor systems for driver assistance in general and autonomous driving in particular. You will make an essential contribution to the implementation of all assistance functions, ensuring that the BMW driving experience continues to delight our customers, even in the area of driver assistance. To strengthen the team, BMW is seeking a technical expert (w/m/x) to ensure project-specific goals for the maturity and quality of E/E system software for embedded software stacks in radar, parking, and CV-driving on the driver assistance integration platform IPNext in the 2025 modular system.

Your responsibilities

• In the team, you will be responsible for testing and validating the basic system software for embedded software stacks in radar, parking, and CV-driving on the IPNext platform.
• You will develop stack-specific test and validation concepts for internal and external communication and interfaces, including degradation and error memory handling.
• You will support the E/E stack TPLs regarding specific requirements in the component specifications, especially when changes are necessary within BMW's change management process.
• You will oversee the definition of DLT analysis data, their output, and compliant evaluation, conducting trace analyses yourself or coordinating their execution.
• Together with colleagues and suppliers, you will ensure the software stacks on the IPNext platform meet quality standards through reviews, hands-on workshops, and quality assurance activities.

Your profile

• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in automotive E/E system or component development, either in pre-series or series production.
• Excellent knowledge of µC/ECU architectures and Classic Autosar, including validation concepts.
• Solid experience in software development for E/E systems or components and their functions.
• Comprehensive experience in testing, validation, and related concept development and execution.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
