Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products. Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) teams are rapidly growing and focused on advanced automotive technologies in multiple domains.

Technology Planning Expert Automotive Industry (m/f/d) – Your mission
  • Technology Scouting: Build-up network with tech-leading companies to identify potential collaboration partners. Provide deeper understanding of the state of EU\'s technology industry. Organize management visits to potential partners in industry and academia.
  • Advanced Technology Trend Analysis: Identify and monitor future technologies trends and support automotive technology and product strategy.
  • Reality Check: To identify potential tech-companies and proof feasibility of identified new technology / innovation areas.
  • Cooperation with Top University: Trigger potential cooperation projects and match make between R&D departments with the right team or lab and the University together. End to end steering of the project progress and final delivery. Support required joint events, e.g. expert talks, management visits, steering committee meetings, ceremonies and other business.
  • Cooperation with external associations: Structure the cooperation with external associations, to get early access to Start-Ups and capture industry tech trends.
  • Technology road map: Support steering process of strategic technology road map creation to ensure a competitive compelling product development road map with focus on high customer value.
Your areas of expertise
  • Master Degree in technical subject. Doctoral degree is a plus.
  • Several years of experience in technology industries and experience in research collaborations and business negotiation.
  • Broad network and connections with academics and industry (including universities, research institutes, VCs, startups and companies).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit and independent working capability.
  • Your language and communication skills are fluent in English. German and/or Chinese language knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel abroad. (20%+ annually)
  • Experience in international cooperation in European Projects.
  • An own network is a plus.
