We are looking for a Technology Planning Expert to join a world leading technology company at their technology centre in Munich .

You will be supporting strategic R&D partnerships, track emerging innovations, & drive cooperation with academic institutions, startups, & external associations. This role focuses on shaping the future of automotive technology through strategic analysis & collaborative innovation.

As a Technology Planning Expert your responsibilities will include :

• Establish & expand partnerships with leading tech firms & academic institutions across Europe.
• Analyze emerging technology trends to inform long-term product & R&D strategies.
• Evaluate feasibility of novel technologies & identify high-potential startups & innovation opportunities.
• Facilitate collaboration between internal R&D teams & top-tier universities.
• Lead the planning & coordination of joint activities, such as expert sessions, site visits, & project milestones.
• Engage with external innovation networks & associations to gain early access to new technologies.
• Contribute to the development & alignment of long-term technology roadmaps focused on customer value & competitiveness.

As a Technology Planning Expert your skills will include :

• Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field; PhD preferred.
• Solid experience in the technology sector, especially in research partnerships & strategic negotiations.
• Broad industry network, including academic & commercial institutions, VCs, & startups.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German and / or Chinese is a plus.
• Comfortable with international travel (20%+ per year).
• Familiarity with European innovation ecosystems & collaborative R&D projects is an asset.
