Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking Technology Planning Expert to guide innovation strategy and technology evaluation initiatives. This role blends deep technical analysis with strategic insight to influence R&D direction and business priorities across emerging domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research to evaluate emerging technologies, including literature reviews, trend analyses, and simulations.
- Produce high-impact technical reports for senior leadership (e.g., chief scientists, executives) to inform strategic decisions.
- Perform early-stage feasibility studies and simulations to shape long-term technical roadmaps.
- Lead and align innovation programs across corporate and business units with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with external partners—research institutions, suppliers, and ecosystem stakeholders—to promote innovation.
- Provide strategic input to cross-functional teams, influencing product development directions.
- Support prototyping efforts to validate early concepts and assess technical viability.
- Organize internal workshops and seminars; facilitate ongoing technical exchanges with academia and industry experts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant field, with 5+ years of industry or academic experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following domains (multiple positions available) :
- VLSI : System design, fabrication, and packaging
- Advanced Semiconductors : 3DIC, heterogeneous integration, optoelectronics, thermal management, back-end testing
- Multi-Physics Modeling & Simulation : Especially for electronics
- Computing Architectures : CPU / GPU cores, AI accelerators
- AI / ML : Algorithms, hardware implementations (e.g., processors, ASICs)
- Low-Power Design : From device level to system level
- Wireless Communication Systems
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to address both strategic and technical challenges.
- Proactive and self-driven; stays ahead of technological trends.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills; comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Proven project leadership and ability to guide cross-functional teams.
- Highly collaborative, fostering knowledge sharing and transparency across teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe and internationally for conferences and partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel; able to communicate complex ideas through clear, compelling presentations.
