Position Overview

As Global Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing revenue and market share at defined global end-customers in close collaboration with the regional sales team. You will drive the required activities in all regions where the end-customer is active and has potential to buy and deploy Universal Robots’ products and services.

This position is required to be in Germany. Working from home office is possible as well as working from our office in Munich.

This position will require regular travel and you should assume 50% of your time being with your customers, in Germany, Europe, and globally.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The Global Key Account Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of the global account strategy:

  • Understand the customer’s global decision-making process
  • Develop and maintain the Account Plan including 3-years revenue and headcount planning
  • Maintain the customer relationship and pipeline planning in CRM (MS Dynamics and in near Future Salesforce)
  • Build global relationships with key people on all levels and connect them to the regional UR team
  • Define and implement programs and major milestones to support the strategy
  • Drive tactical, cross-functional activities for global project execution
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure global customer support and execution of activities
  • Perform regular reviews with the global team and the customer
  • Define marketing communication campaigns related to the Global Key Account (Account Based Marketing)
  • Organize regular innovation days and roadmap workshops

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has documented practical experience within the Key Account / Large Account area in the Automotive Automation industry. Experience from a company in industrial automation is an advantage.

In addition to a commercial or engineering degree (B.Sc., M.Sc., MBA or equivalent), you have:

  • Experience and a proven track record in implementing programs and processes to support Global Key Account Programs
  • Key Account Management experience – minimum of 7 years in an international B2B account development context
  • The ability to think strategically, conceptually, and to turn strategy into executable milestones in a fast-changing environment
  • A data-driven mindset and a clear understanding of the need for CRM data quality
  • Experience with sales of complex technical solutions
  • Experience from an international cross-functional role
  • Strong communication skills at all levels in different regions of the world
  • Experience navigating in an international matrix organization
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; German is a plus
