Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the technical preparation, execution, evaluation, and documentation of ballistic tests on protective systems (e.g., body armor, ballistic components) in the company's own test bench. In addition to the safe and precise execution of the tests, you will be responsible for the regular maintenance of the test benches as well as the maintenance and evaluation of the test data to ensure product quality and approval.
- You will prepare the test benches or shooting ranges and set them up for ballistic testing in accordance with the applicable standards. Handling ammunition and propellant powder will be part of your daily tasks.
- When conducting ballistic testing, you will be responsible for safety precautions and compliance with all legal and internal company regulations.
- You will record the conditions and events, evaluate the test results, keep test logs and documentation, and perform error analysis in the event of deviations and irregularities.
- You will be responsible for the maintenance, care, and monitoring of the testing and measurement technology and will assist with calibration and optimization.
- You will work closely with the development and quality assurance departments as well as external approval bodies.
Your profile
- You have completed technical training and have experience in working with (electro-)mechanical test benches.
- You have an impeccable reputation and possess a very high level of responsibility and safety awareness, as well as a careful, structured, and documentation-oriented approach to your work.
- Experience in ballistic testing and additional knowledge of materials engineering, measurement technology, weapons or pyrotechnics would be an advantage.
- You have very good German language skills and a basic knowledge of English.
