Technical Writer (f/m/d) Ultrasound IT (1-year parental leave cover)

In this role you are responsible for technical writing for our software specifications as well as user and service documentations! This challenging role is critical for the success of our Ultrasound IT solution Viewpoint!

Job Description

This role is based in Munich with a very good workplace flexibility to work from home (min 2 days/week). This role is limited for 1 year and a parental leave cover!

Your Responsibilities

1. You will write user and service documentation according to software specification in close cooperation with the scrum teams, service teams and subject matter experts.
2. You are a part of our engineering team and coordinate technical writing projects.
3. You ensure compliance of the user and service documentation with quality, regulatory and privacy and security requirements.
4. You proofread documentation, drive corresponding review processes and ensure a concise and precise terminology and wording that is also translation friendly.
5. You contribute in innovative projects to bring our technical documentation to the next level and continuously improve the way we work in that field.
6. You support the tool chain for writing and publishing as well as the translation of documentation.

Your Profile

1. You bring a bachelor’s degree or comparable university degree in the field of technical documentation or technical communication, technical writing engineering or IT or similar.
2. You bring a significant professional experience in the field of technical documentation for software.
3. You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and DITA editors and content management systems and localization tools.
4. You are experienced in XML file formats.
5. You bring a native level fluency in English in writing and speaking and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
6. You bring a reliable, self-organized and independent working attitude.
7. You are a good team player and always open to continuous improving the way we work.

Ideal skills that can also be trained on the job are:

1. You are experienced in working with source code repository tools such as Bitbucket or Git.
2. You ideally have knowledge of client-server and web-based software solutions and terminologies.
3. You bring at least some language skills in German.
