Technical Writer – 6 months contract – Germany – NRW – Hybrid

For one of our clients, an international air transport industry's IT provider, we are currently looking for an experienced Technical Writer on an initial 6 month contract basis, to join their German entity in NRW.

Well known for delivering modern solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft, and governments, our client is globally respected for implementation of some of the most innovative technology powers in the industry.

As a Technical Writer within the Passenger Processing Portfolio, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and refining user-focused documentation that supports operational efficiency and improves end-user effectiveness.

In this role, you will create both external and internal content, including user guides, configuration manuals, online help, and system/process documentation, that enables users to perform tasks independently with minimal assistance. You will work closely with product owners, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to support new product launches and major system enhancements by delivering clear, task-oriented content.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in technical writing and documentation for software products and services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in creating user manuals for IT products and services, using step-by-step instructions, diagrams, and screenshots.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Experience in Voice-Over Videos that explain product features and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of documentation tools and technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and software engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
