Technical Trainer (m/w/d) - Global Technical Academy in Service

LOCATION: Hamburg, DE, 22419

DEPARTMENT: Service

The Global Technical Academy develops, coordinates, and delivers technical and safety-related training within the Nordex Group. Internal colleagues, customers, and service providers are trained here. Since 2022, our training academy in Hamburg-Norderstedt has been certified by the Global Wind Organization (GWO) as a training provider. In the 1,600 m² training hall, which houses various technical components of Nordex wind turbines as well as two complete nacelles, participants become familiar with Nordex technology.

Your tasks
  • Conducting technical training sessions (both in-person and virtual) for diverse audiences
  • Ensuring strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards during simulator-based training
  • Documenting training activities, including attendance, feedback, and evaluations.
  • Continuously enhancing training content based on participant input and evolving technical requirements
  • Supporting the onboarding of new trainers and leading train-the-trainer programs
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with internal departments, subject matter experts, and external partners
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and innovations in wind turbine technologies
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues in training equipment
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in training development projects when required
Your Profile
  • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Additional qualifications (e.g., master craftsman, engineer) in mechanics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or IT are a plus
  • Several years of hands-on experience in a technical environment, ideally in wind energy or plant engineering
  • Familiarity with frequency converters, fieldbus systems, and SCADA-IT systems is desirable
  • Proficiency in English is required; German language skills are an advantage
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with confidence in front of groups
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, international work environment
