Position Overview

At Wunderflats, we're revolutionizing mid-term furnished housing rentals with our marketplace platform. We're looking for a Technical Team Lead to drive innovation and mentorship.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 4 engineers, fostering psychological safety, technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Own the technical vision and roadmap for the Bookings team, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with business goals and architectural best practices.
• Champion code quality, testing, and automation; proactively identify and resolve technical debt.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Spearhead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance team efficiency and product capabilities.

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience building and deploying scalable, cloud-native applications using React and TypeScript on Kubernetes. Deep understanding of GraphQL API design, microservices architecture, and MongoDB.
• At least 1 year of experience managing and mentoring software engineers, including performance reviews, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Proven leadership experience in engineering teams.
• Strong architectural skills with experience designing scalable, resilient, and secure systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience optimizing booking flows and conversion rates in a marketplace environment.
• Experience with GCP.
• Knowledge of Cloudflare.
• Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making.
