Job Summary

Support all commercial activities pre- and post-sales, including selling existing products, supporting innovation, providing technical customer support, investigating complaints, benchmarking products, and engaging in technical lobbying with market stakeholders.

This international and challenging role involves providing technical support across Europe, especially for customers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (Area D-A-CH), leveraging fluency in German.

Your responsibilities

• Participate in client discussions and support development processes with the sales team.
• Manage trials and qualification processes at customer sites.
• Identify technical opportunities to optimize product value.
• Lead large technical development projects with R&D collaboration.
• Conduct benchmarking analyses of products and technologies.
• Identify unmet customer needs for new products or solutions.
• Translate performance requirements into product specifications.
• Lead and supervise trials on customer sites and at Imerys plants.
• Act as a technical ambassador through training, conferences, and standardization activities.

Your profile

• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Ceramics, or Mineral Chemistry.
• Several years of relevant experience in technical support or customer application management.
• Market knowledge in Refractory/High-Temperature applications for Iron & Steel, Aluminum, Cement, Glass, Petrochemicals, and Foundries.
• Technical expertise in Refractory Minerals (e.g., Aluminosilicates, Fused Minerals, Calcium Aluminate binders, Magnesia).
• Strong communication skills with customers and technical committees.
• Flexibility, resilience, proactive, autonomous, and motivated.
• Entrepreneurial mentality and taste for challenges.
• Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in German (technical and commercial).
• Willingness to travel up to 60% for business trips.
