Job Description

Reporting to: Head of Sales, EMEA

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: February 2025 or earliest convenience

Activity: Full-time (100%)

Location: DACH (remote)

We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to join the Lunaphore EMEA Sales team, focusing on selling high-end spatial biology capital equipment, services, consumables, software, and accessories to universities, research centers, and hospitals to support discovery, translational, and clinical research programs. The role involves supporting sales activities across DACH (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) and Eastern Europe. Candidates should have a solid technical foundation in immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization, spatial biology, or related tissue biomarker analysis applications, along with strong business acumen, experience managing complex sales pipelines, and customer accounts. We seek a dedicated, entrepreneurial individual passionate about advancing Lunaphore's presence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales quotas for the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute regional and account-specific sales strategies.
  • Drive the sales cycle for capital equipment from initial engagement to closing.
  • Build long-term customer relationships to meet sales objectives.
  • Qualify and engage new leads to generate sales opportunities.
  • Represent the company at conferences, events, and seminars, presenting key products and applications.
  • Develop technical knowledge of Lunaphore's product portfolio and the spatial biology landscape, delivering insightful presentations to scientists across various research stages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Support, Marketing) to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Gather and share relevant market feedback.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and activity reports in CRM.
  • This role requires frequent travel (approx. 50%) to customer sites and conferences, with occasional travel to headquarters.

Required Qualifications & Soft Skills

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Medicine, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience selling high-end life sciences research platforms.
  • Experience selling to academia and biopharma sectors across applications like immuno-oncology, neuroscience, and immunology.
  • Experience in Spatial Biology is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of in-situ techniques (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, hybridization, spatial transcriptomics) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and a long-term vision.
  • Autonomous, proactive, results-oriented team player.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • A valid full driving license is advantageous.
