Qualifikationen

  • Bachelorabschluss in Betriebswirtschaft oder Marketing oder 7 Jahre Erfahrung in der BioPharm-Branche.
  • Mindestens fünf Jahre Erfahrung im Außendienstverkauf von Membranventilen in der BioPharm-Branche.

Aufgaben

  • Verkauf von Pure-Flo und EnviZion Produkten im BioPharm-Markt.
  • Entwicklung neuer OEM-Konten und Unterstützung bei CAPEX-Projekten.
  • Reiseaktivitäten von ca. 60% zur Kundenakquise und Pflege von Kundenbeziehungen.

Job Description:

The candidate is a highly organized, self-motivating candidate with excellent communication skills. The candidate promotes and sells Pure-Flo and EnviZion (PF) products direct in the BioPharm market through distributors, representatives, OEM’s, and Engineering Firms (A&E’s). The candidate is a hands-on salesperson who spends most of his time traveling in the region visiting customers to discover new opportunities and increase sales. He discovers new sales opportunities with existing and new customers, coordinates quote activities, and chases the orders to maximize product sales.

The candidate develops new OEM accounts who build skids and systems. Further, the candidate will be responsible for discovering and exploring large CAPEX projects by end-users with the result of getting ITT valves sold and installed.

The territory will initially be Benelux, Germany, Eastern Europe (excl. Poland and Lithuania). Markets and territory may change in the future. The candidate is expected to support other activities in the region when required by the Sales Director EMEA, India & APAC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Uses persuasion, logic, and product expertise to promote and sell the various valves/products to end users, Engineering companies (A&E accounts), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and distributors.
  • Builds customer intimacy with key accounts.
  • Maintains, develops, and expands the distribution network in the territory.
  • Builds firm relationships with OEM customers.
  • Discovers and works on new CAPEX projects to get ITT valves specified and installed.
  • Responsible for the entire sales process, from lead generation until aftermarket support in the region.
  • Maintains an up-to-date territory plan and works accordingly.
  • Travels nationally and internationally approximately 60% of the time to visit key accounts and distributors to achieve intimate customer contacts.
  • Performs specification work for day-to-day business and on projects with A&E’s, OEM’s, and end-users.
  • Conducts product information seminars and training for end users, A&E accounts, distributors, and representatives. Assists distributors and representatives' sales personnel in making sales calls and securing orders for ITT products.
  • Provides ITT with detailed information on the competitive landscape in the territory.
  • Maintains reports for active projects and opportunities and supports monthly reporting and forecasting processes in a timely manner.
  • Communicates extensively with the direct supervisor on all customers, sales channels, and company matters.
  • Maintains up-to-date distributor/representative sales action plans, monitors, and reports progress towards goals.
  • Reports to and follows the directions given by the Sales Director EMEA, India & APAC.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business, Marketing, or has 7 years of experience in the BioPharm industry. Candidates with at least five years of outside diaphragm valve sales experience in BioPharm are preferred. Candidates with good experience in channel management, other valve types (or related products), and/or other capital equipment will be considered.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. The candidate must be fluent in German and English (verbally and in writing).

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTING SKILLS

Ability to effectively utilize word processing software, spreadsheets, and to navigate and use other custom applications software in a MS Windows environment.
