Purpose of Job

Develop and maintain sales of Huber Advanced Materials ’ product solutions to existing and new customers. As member of the EMEA+I Sales Team provide excellent technical sales development and relationship building with our customers and distributor network in the market segment 'Polymers’ and contribute to the growth of revenue and profits for the company.

Initiate new business development for new and existing product-applications to expand sales and profits in the region to meet objectives and goals and establishes Huber/Martinswerk brands in customers’ mind.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent (technical) sales support to existing customer base, distributors and prospect accounts. Leverage product portfolio and application capabilities.
  • Build partnerships and support the European Distributors in the best possible way to maximize profitable sales.
  • Manage distributors in the market segment 'Polymers'.
  • Maintain and create new business in a systematic manner based on building relationships, uncovering needs, and selling and closing Huber solutions with all functional areas of a company at levels that range from senior executives to research chemists and purchasing agents.
  • Drive growth of sales volume and gross margin ensuring that we maximize our selling price.
  • Maintain a close understanding of the market situation, competition, trends, and ensure required market development is achieved.
  • Work closely together with Technical Support, R&D, and Marketing to support the launch of new products.
  • Communicate and systematically update the Sales team about opportunities, competitor activity, and account updates. Fulfill normal Sales duties including Sales Forecasting, call reports, account plans, etc.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent education in polymer processing, material science, chemistry, chemical engineering, -OR- commercial education with a proven technical knowledge in relevant fields.
  • Work experience in companies active in polymer processing, compounding industry, thermoplastics or thermosets, polymer manufacturing, masterbatching (or related markets).
  • Min. 5 years of B2B Sales or technical service experience in relevant industries in Europe.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communications ability, fluency in English and good command of German (any other languages will be considered as a plus).
  • A self-motivated and team-oriented sales professional paired with business acumen and customer focus.
  • Action and results oriented, ability to recognize and to seize windows of opportunity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Experience in an international work environment with an ability to travel up to 50% throughout Europe.
