Job Title : Technical Sales Manager / Business Developer

Location : East and North Germany, home office based

Regions to cover : North / Mid / South East Germany

Reports To : Managing Director, Germany

Introduction :

Our client is based in Zülpich, Germany and is an international manufacturer of industrial circular saw blades for metal applications. Their parent company is headquartered in the Netherlands and has subsidiaries in China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany , the United Kingdom, and the United States. With their unique combination of HSS, TCT and segmental saw blades, they are able to serve customers in the oil and gas, automotive, mechanical engineering and construction industries. In total, they have 14 sales and service locations and 4 production locations. The products are mainly exported and sold up to 80 countries worldwide. To strengthen our client’s German Sales team, they are looking for a dedicated Technical Sales Manager / business developer who will be a go-getter, dedicated to expanding their presence and driving growth in the German market.

As a Technical Sales Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our client’s growth in the vibrant North / Mid / South East Germany region! You'll serve as a key connection between the company and its clients, building strong relationships through expert technical solutions and tailored product recommendations. Working from your home office, you'll enjoy the dynamic mix of remote work and exciting client visits - about four days a week - giving you the chance to engage directly with customers. Your energetic approach will help you understand their needs, present innovative solutions, and close deals confidently. This role is a perfect blend of technical expertise and sales passion, allowing you to deliver impactful, customized solutions that meet both technical and operational goals.

  • New Business Development : Proactively identify and acquire new customers in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
  • Customer Relationship Management : Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Technical Support : Provide on-site support to resolve basic technical issues on customer machinery.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with application engineers to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Trial Support : Assist and oversee saw blade trials at customer sites to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation : Accurately document all customer visits and activities.
  • Travel : Willingness to travel extensively (4 days per week) within the assigned region.

What you bring :

  • Education : Completed vocational training as a cutting machine operator, technician, mechanical engineer, or similar technical background.
  • Experience : Previous experience in technical field sales or industrial sales. Sector knowledge would be a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge : Solid understanding of machining processes and machine operation.
  • Personality : Open, approachable, and communicative personality.
  • Independence : High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Mobility : Willingness to travel regularly within North / Mid / South East Germany
