Our client, a pioneering company in process optimisation software, is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to expand its presence in the European market. This is a crucial role focused on driving new logo acquisition and value-driven sales within the Chemical, Dairy, Cocoa, and Food Processing industries.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a highly targeted sales strategy to penetrate and expand market share in specific food processing industries.
- Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline, from initial lead generation to deal closure. This includes prospecting, cold-calling, and leveraging structured methodologies like MEDDIC.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior-level executives (e.g., Plant Managers, Production Managers, Process Engineers) to understand their operational challenges and data management strategies.
- Become a subject matter expert on the company\'s software and its application, conducting value-driven product demonstrations that directly link solutions to specific customer pain points and business benefits.
- Collaborate closely with pre-sales and customer success teams to ensure a seamless sales process and successful implementation for our clients.
- Lead contract negotiations and close deals, consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify new market opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience dealing with European business within Dairy, Cocoa, and Food Processing industries.
- Experience in SaaS sales is essential, preferably within the process industry.
- A strong technical background as a Process Engineer is a plus
- Proficiency in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from production and process teams to C-level executives.
- Demonstrated ability to derive and communicate business value from technical solutions.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to navigate a multi-stage sales journey involving technical, financial, and procurement teams.
