Job Description

Sales Manager – Aerospace & Defence (DACH & Benelux)

Base: Southern Germany – ideally near a major airport

Territory: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands (primarily Germany)

Key Accounts Include: Leading aviation OEMs and Tier 1s

Travel: Approx. 50%, mostly in-region

Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-precision, mission-critical components used across a wide range of demanding industrial applications. With a heritage rooted in engineering excellence and a focus on long-term customer relationships, the company supplies premium solutions to major players in the aerospace and defense industries.

They are now looking to recruit a Sales Manager to spearhead revenue growth across Germany for their precision engineered components, this is a high-impact, field-based role suited to someone who thrives on building relationships, navigating complex sales cycles, and influencing technical decision-makers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Represent advanced, specification-driven mechanical solutions in high-compliance environments
  • Build technical relationships with customer engineering, sourcing, and program stakeholders
  • Visit customers regularly – face-to-face presence is essential (50%+ travel)
  • Maintain and expand an established territory while protecting against price competition
  • Understand and articulate technical differentiation – you'll be selling capability, not just cost
  • Take initiative in helping the business develop presence in the defence sector, supporting its ambitions to gain market insight and credibility

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree-qualified in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent technical background through experience
  • A strong record in solution-led technical sales, ideally within the aerospace or military supply chain
  • A confident, structured communicator who thrives on solving problems and winning trust
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Based within easy reach of key airports in Southern or Central Germany for efficient travel

You’ll join a team known for its high-integrity approach and technical credibility. With a strong commercial foundation, you'll have the freedom and support to lead strategic growth in a core European region, balancing legacy customer care with future-focused business development.
