Technical Sales Engineer C&I storge&PV solutions (m/f/d)

To support our continued growth, we are seeking to hire a Technical Sales Engineer C&I storge&PV solutions.
Technical Sales Engineer supports the sales organization in developing and delivering C&I PV+BESS turnkey solutions. This role is highly customer-facing and technically driven, focusing on pre-sales activities, solution design support, and on-the-road engagement with customers and partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Pre-Sales & Technical Support
- Act as the technical sales interface for C&I BESS turnkey solutions, supporting the Sales Manager throughout the sales cycle.
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and technical workshops to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Support feasibility assessments, technical solution concepts, and system configurations in coordination with engineering and design teams.
- Prepare and contribute to high-quality technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and tender documentation.
- Spend approximately 50% of time in the field, engaging directly with customers, EPCs, consultants, and partners.
- Support the development and expansion of customer relationships in Germany.
- Provide technical product positioning and value-based solution explanations to customers and stakeholders.
- Gather market and customer feedback to support continuous improvement of turnkey offerings.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales Manager on opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and bid strategy.
- Coordinate with commercial, project execution, and engineering teams to ensure solution alignment and deliverability.
- Support handover of secured projects to project execution teams, ensuring technical and commercial continuity.
Market & Product Insight
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of C&I PV+BESS technologies, system architectures, and industry best practices.
- Monitor competitor solutions, technical differentiators, and market developments relevant to C&I turnkey projects.
- Stay informed on regulatory and grid-related requirements impacting C&I PV and energy storage projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering degree preferred (electrical, energy, renewable, or similar); business or equivalent technical background also considered.
- Strong technical understanding of C&I PV and energy storage solutions; hands-on experience with BESS is highly desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, or pre-sales role within the C&I solar or energy storage sector.
- Experience supporting turnkey solution sales or complex infrastructure projects.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, customer-focused value propositions.
- Comfortable working in an international, matrix-based sales organization.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (Dynamics or equivalent)
- Willingness and ability to travel (up to 50%).
- Fluency in English & German (depending on location); any other European language would be a plus.
