Overview : We’re seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the execution of complex Control & Protection projects within HVDC. This role offers high visibility, working closely with the Project Director, and combines technical depth with project leadership, providing a rare opportunity to oversee projects from tender to commissioning.

Company : A leading OEM in HVDC Grid Solutions and Grid Access Projects

Office in Germany – and regional hubs in Europe and Asia.

C&P headcount : 500+ globally

Operational Scope : 20+ HVDC projects in execution currently (~100,000 engineering hours per project)

C&P Project Management Overview :

• Team size (per project) : ~35 people, including Hardware, Software, and Integration Leads
• Structure : Clear separation between grid access and interconnector responsibilities

• Works closely with the Project Director - fast communication, high exposure
• Full project lifecycle responsibility : from kickoff to commissioning
• Role is 50% project management, 50% technical - requires interest and involvement in technical discussions

Responsibilities :

• Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary C&P team (~30 people) across global locations
• Manage project execution from tender phase through to commissioning
• Ensure alignment with project scope, timeline, budget, and quality requirements
• Collaborate closely with the Project Director and wider PMO
• Participate in technical reviews, solution definition, and interface discussions
• Oversee technical documentation, system integration, and FAT / SAT planning
• Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers on C&P matters
