Google Technical Program Manager, Third Party Data Center Operations in Frankfurt, Germany

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead technical projects, such as those involving Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). This includes developing project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, as well as managing project execution to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  2. Respond to and resolve incidents related to critical infrastructure, including BMS and EPMS systems. This may involve troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors, and implementing preventative measures.
  3. Collect and analyze operational data, including incident reports and system performance metrics, to identify trends and drive process improvements. Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor system health, identify opportunities, and make data-backed recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. 5 years of experience in program management.
  3. Experience in managing critical facility infrastructure incidents.
  4. Experience in two or more of the following areas: data center infrastructure, operating systems, networking, security, system administration, or service management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
  2. 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  3. Experience with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting BMS and SCADA systems using software like FactoryTalk and Ignition.
  4. Experience in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis or corrective action for BMS and EPMS related issues.

This role requires an understanding of data center infrastructure and technical project management, with a controls engineering background. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of critical systems within third-party data centers, responding to incidents, leading improvement projects, and contributing to operational excellence.
